I managed to get an LG OLED 65c1 and it's simply stunning.
It was a free curry's replacement (well most of the cost covered) when the Samsung failed In month 58 out of 60. I see it's approx 1600 in Costco now a bargain in my eyes |

We are here to ensure you go way over budget!
Do you really need the 65 - a 55 is more around your budget....? Or last years model is £999 at Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-OLED55CX...a-907375775420 |

You're struggling to get one of the top TV's at 65" for a £1k budget. Whereas currently you can pick up some of the best OLED's out there from LG, Sony and Panasonic at 55" for just under £1k. Is a 65" a must? If so you'll have to settle for something lesser quality or find a way to up that budget!

Another here on the LG OLED 65 inch gravy train. Stunning TV and as importantly the OS is a revelation and so easy.
I did have a Costco link for a 48 for the bedroom on BF deal but sold out in an hour. Good luck in the search. There are some Samsung 'The Frame' deals for about £1100 on a 65. That's a smart looker.

Its non OLED for sub £1000 at that 65 mark. Size or Quality... oo err! I feel we should take Master Yoda's advice on this one "do or do not, there is no try...." You know what to do OP

Costco are now doing the LG OLED65C14LB 65 Inch for £1439.98 which is a cracking price for the latest model! 5 year warranty too.
If you can apply some man maths then I doubt you can do better for the price currently. Though I also doubt they'll stay in stock for very long before all getting snapped up… |

With all the tech in tv's now there's more to consider about what you want/need.
Size and budget are the obvious factors but it goes beyond that. Do you need/want Dolby Vision? Do you need the wide viewing angle of an IPS panel? Will you be gaming on it? Do you have or likely to have equipment that will require HDMI 2.1? Do you need a tv with a centre stand. Does the room get a lot of direct sunlight? Another big question is what are you upgrading from? As long as the next tv is better than the last, then you can't miss something you've never had. |

you need to make sure that it comes with prime video and netflix if you use them, which means you dont need a roku or fire stick to deliver the above, taking up one of the few hdmi ports. insert apps of your choice, but hopefully that illustrates. its the most important consideration for me after a good review from a trusted site. |

I love my LG OLED, it is best in dark settings. If you will keep your TV in direct sunlight for the most part then I wouldn't recommended

If you want OLED, this looks like a great deal.
£1099 with the discount code. Get Richer Sounds to price beat it to £1079. https://www.rgbdirect.co.uk/Products...LG/OLED65B16LA |

The downside of getting a great deal with Costco is still waiting! The other biggies would have probably delivered several days ago but still waiting on an update with a delivery day (they say up to 10 working days!).
Still it is a small price to pay for the saving, no one else is still anywhere close to it! |

Thanks for all the input folks
Still not bought anything, will have a look at Xmas sales. The LG looks favourite I think, probably need to push the budget slightly in true Bimmerpost style. Last edited by DB118D; 12-08-2021 at 08:08 AM.. |
