Boat Towing in GT

My 19 340i GT didn’t come with a factory hitch, and I can’t find towing information for the GT anywhere. If I spend the $ to get a receiver on my GT, thoughts on towing a boat? Anyone have experience towing 3,000lb loads? I’m not going long distances. Appreciate any experience out there!

1500 pounds if the trailer does not have brakes, 3500 pounds if it does.
