Thieves broken into my car
Hi guys,
In the morning I just opened my car and found out the it was broken into. The thieves took beside personal items, my automatic gear shift knob, which will cost me EUR 1200. The police was surprised that the airbags and were not taken. Now what I’m wondering, how the thieves opened my door. The door was closed for sure, no damage outside or broken window. The service said that they might got my key codes. Do you eventually know if it’s possible that they can no open my door again with the code ? If so beside the Eur 1200 I will have to take my car to the dealership to change the keys as well, which will costs another couple of hundreds. |

If you have Comfort Access they might have used a radio frequency repeater to make the car think the fob was within range. This subject has been extensively covered. The fix is to store your fobs in a metal container. A tea tin will do.
