It's a strange one for me aswell. NBT EVO and download manager showing 2018-4 while online in connected drive it says update available 2019-1, but where??

You need to go to map update in connected drive website there will be information about Bmw download manager and a link to get it download this and log in with your connected drive login and it will then show your vehicle and the update available and you can download it and then mount to a USB pen drive you need a 64gb formatted in Fat32 follow the instructions then plug into the USB in your centre armrest and idrive will start the update process follow the on screen prompts. Simples...

Btw that didn’t resolve it. When I return to downlod manager it still shows 2018-4. It must be some glitch. Thanks anyways

When you open the portal and you see’ll see all of the booked icons in orange, find USB map update and click on it. That will then open another page with a new link to download manager and it will show you the new map version available.

Its a pain in the ass mate, very hard to find it, It took me solid 10m to located this page..

None of this showing up for me. Car hasn't updated over the air and download manager still showing 2018-4 for NBT Evo.

Online portal not mentioning a map update either.

Same here. Probably the are doing a rolling deployment to reduce load and give them time to detect any potential issues before rolling it out to everyone

It's a load of shite in today's day and age that they can't release the maps for EVERYONE - host the downloads somewhere in the cloud pretty sure Amazon Web Services could cope with it!!!!!!

I have a 2018 320i with Professional Media (609) and my latest map is 2018-4 so I have just spoken to BMW Connected Drive and they have told me that the Europe EVO 2019-1 map is released and available for my car however they have said they are experiencing issues with their portal if you are trying to download it via the Download Manager tool.

They advised for me to keep trying and to call back next week if I still do not have the update.

They always either have issues with their portal or the OTA it's abysmal for such a company as BMW to have this pay extra bolt on customer service so bad.

Need to do it myself later, but that FAQ looks to me like it's confirming NTFS *is* a supported file type

agreed and also depending on your iDrive system the SIM card is either 4G or 3G for the older models pre-2016 I beleive

Still on 2018-4 EVO on the portal however the car did an OTA update.

Of course, all this bodes really well for the next-gen Connected Drive and iDrive 7 fluff that BMW is pitching.

They can't even get the basics right.
