I had an E90 (325i) for just over 7 years and I took delivery of my 328i 2 weeks before selling the E90 privately. In those 2 weeks, I drove both cars and could not find any discerning difference between the brakes.

Certainly there were other differences but not the brakes. Both were/are tight and strong.

I think you are right. My car is leased which will end in 3 years and 9 months. If I want to do anything to it I really should do it now and get the max benefit.

I am really conflicted about my F30. I just think that BMW is trying to please everyone and ends up pleasing no one other than previous Mercedes owners - steering, driving experience control and suspension settings. It is a great car and yet for me it could be so much better.

Thoughts boys?
Front rotors are 370mm x 30mm, dimpled, slotted and vented
Rear rotors are 345mm x 24mm, dimpled, slotted and vented

On a black car, you're lucky anything will work!

Sigh.. apparently I have very high expectation for people to know what they are talking about.
Yeh the rear rotors are sold seperately.
I have part numbers and everything if you need them, else I can also quote you up if you're keen

Interesting. I didn't have the old and new car at the same time and the difference in brake feel was probably the second thing I noticed (the first being the quick steering of VSS).

How bad do they squeek? I had a porche pull up beside me today and boy it was squeeling badly
They are quiet, a hint of noise maybe when are are very cold.

I read RPM90's post... if there's air in the brake system, you're definitely going to notice it.

I'm likely to get some braided lines first, then the performance brake kit if it's still not quite what I'm after.

They can. Basic rule is that if you fiddle with something and it breaks, or directly causes something else to go spang, don't expect the manufacturer to fix it.
