F30 Removed 524 Adaptive Headlight from VO now errors

Hi,

I have after market headlights which were plug and play direct swap with no issues. The only error I had was adaptive led headlight failure as they were no longer adaptive like the originals. I used my scanning tool (bit more than just a scanner) to remove number 524, adaptive headlight out of the cars vehicle order. As that was shown to be the fix to remove the error popping up. Now it doesn't recgonise my headlights what so ever despite them working. Still have day time running lights, dipped beams, full beams. Indicators now flash fast on the front as if they have a failure like most indicators when there is an issue. which is the most annoying at the moment but it tells be both dipped headlights failure, both full beams and both indicators (plus high beam assist no longer works). Do I need to just code back in the 524 into my VO or something anyone can recommend? Thank you

I really have no idea on Aftermarket hardware. On normal OEM hardware, you can remove 524 the Adaptive Fucntion Coding so long as car is still coded for Head Light, such as 522 Xenon Light. I also have no idea on Scanning Tool, but any FA Change requires VO coding affecting Modules afterward.

Thanks Shawn, do you think it would be worth to flash/reset everything back to normal (I've not actually made any changes other than this) It's possible the car did a full recode based on this and appears that it no longer thinks any headlight modules are equipped or files found while scanning

If so would I need the full PSdZData or lite?

I really do not know exactly what you have done, so I have no idea. Coding can be done with psdzdata Lite. Flashing requires psdzdata Full. That said, I don't see how flashing an aftermarket light module with OEM firmware would be applicable, but I could be wrong.

I've followed this
. With same tool. The aftermarket light was a direct plug and play so worked on the OEM firmware, no coding or anything required. That is why I was thinking reinstating the OEM firmware and setting the FA back to what it was before I did this change could work

Try it. It can't hurt.
