The grid describing the features included in the "Luxury and Modern Lines" has an asterisk stating the Premium Package (ZPP) is required when ordering one of the two lines. Selecting (ZPP) creates an overlap because both lines offer leather as part of the package. Isn't this redundant having to pay for same item twice?

Totally understand. However it goes beyond that, document states if you order a 335i, it comes standard with two additional items included in the Premium Package, a moonroof and power front seats + lumbar support. Going one step further ordering a 335i includes, 18" wheels, xenon headlights plus wood trim. I'm not seeing the value the Lux or Modern Lines has to offer except for a couple of cosmetic items. With that being said, I guess some consumers prefer a bundled package.

In other words, if you do not opt for one of the lines, in contrast to how it is today, instead of being able to select from four (more actually, when you include priority one) different leather colors, you will only have the choice between two. Similarly, instead of being able to select from four different interior trims, you'll only have the choice of two. Sure, you could just order one of the lines if you want more. The lines do offer great value and open you up to a world of variety and options. But they force specific combinations on you as well. For the record I am not complaining. I am merely trying to keep it real. |

Basically, it will show up the speed limit of the road you are driving on on the head-up display.
Check out the red circle on the left.

Speed Limit Info. It’s known that traffic regulations are there to be observed by everyone. Nevertheless, it can still happen that you overlook a sign and inadvertently drive too fast. So it’s good when somebody tells you in good time. Either one of your passengers – or Speed Limit Info. You want to reach your destinations as fast as you can. That’s why BMW ConnectedDrive offers Speed Limit Info – to make sure you stay within the legal speed limits. A camera installed close to the rear view mirror not only keeps a wary electronic eye on permanent traffic signs, but also on variable Speed Limit Info on gantries above the road. Together with the information already supplied by your navigation system, it ensures a reliable display of speed limits and other additional traffic warnings like ‘when wet’. Either distinctly on the instrument cluster display. Or, as an alternative option, in the Head-Up Display. Important information that keeps you feeling safe and secure on the road: with Speed Limit Info from BMW ConnectedDrive, you can always drive as fast as you can and as fast as you may.

so the M sport suspension will be available on the 328 and 335 without having to wait until summer 2012 for the M-Sport Package.
Anotherword I can order a 335i with M sport suspension this month? Is the M Sport suspension lower than the regular? How much lower? |

I really dont understand this. Kind of annoying and aggravating to be honest. Nothing against the Charger, but even the new Dodge Charger comes with rear LED tails (on all models). There is no waiting for some update years down the road. |

If it were up to me:
Sport - standard hydraulic steering, mechanical limited slip, black wheels, throttle response and engine output tuned for sport. DCT and manual transmissions. Optional iDrive and other tech gadgets. Luxury - electric steering, throttle and engine output and automatic transmissions tuned for a "smooth" drive. 8-speed automatic transmission only. iDrive, NAV and tech gadgets standard. Matte silver accents...leave the chrome to Cadillac. Modern - completely unnecessary But it's not so...cool story bro. Last edited by wannabe; 11-10-2011 at 01:56 PM.. |

It's rather ironic (and cruel) that BMW's vastly less expensive sister, Mini is going to be more customizable than an not-so entry level 3-series. One of the things BMW brags about when you take the 3 sedan factory tour is that that vast majority of cars are customer orders, i.e., not dealer stock, and that there are so many options, statistically only 5 other cars have the same color/trim/options each model year. Well that goes down the tubes now. You are right it's going to annoy a lot of die hards, but even more so, it's going to p.o. people that actually shop different brands before buying. Hopefully BMW will rethink this "one size fits all" strategy. It's just dumb for a $40K+ car. |
