I managed to get a ps5 on pre order though Amazon. No real reason to get one other than my boys love playing on the ps4...so when the ps5 arrives the ps4 will be going in the playroom for them and I will be having the ps5 .. shame they only come with one remote!! :-D

I'm a PlayStation fan but debating on going down both routes.

This will be the PlayStation launch I haven't pre-ordered. Because it was almost impossible to get hold of one (being off sick and not using my phone for a few days helped).

Will pick the new console up next year at some point.

Lad in work (he is a dickhead) has ordered 5 PS5s and 5 Xbox's for resell. Told him how much of a selfish dickhead he is.

I have PS4 and Xbox one x but the Ps5 games such as the last of us etc appeal more. Must play gears 5 on Xbox tho via game pass which is cool.

Microsoft have this offer where if you buy xbox live gold you can upgrade to ultimate pass for £1 monthly fee (e.g. if you buy 36 months xbox live gold and then upgrade for a one off £1 and you get 36 months ultimate pass) and you get to play a lot of the new games (EA and microsoft first party games) on day 1 or within a reasonable time frame. Just to provide some useful information here to everyone. From like a gaming library point of view the Xbox Series X is quite incredible value. Microsoft are offering a new service called Game Pass Ultimate. Generally speak its netflix for games. So a lot of the hard hitting games i won't need to pay anymore. Given how the new games are gonna cost £60 to £80 its a great value. To put it into context. I bought 3 years xbox live gold for £120 then upgrade to ultimate pass

I thought i blew it by taking the game pass month trial for a quid offer. However the offer came back.

I ended up buying 36 months worth of gold via cdkeys.com and did the conversion for a quid.

As you say I think MS are offering the xb series x with game pass as a service 28 quid a month I gather

This sounds like an excellent tip. Do you buy 3 x 12 month Gold subscriptions and then add the three different codes to get the 36 months Gold Live? Is the £1 Ultimate Pass then just added from the Microsoft Store?

After each time you put the code in DO NOT SELECT THE FREE ADDITIONAL 1 MONTH. since you are only allowed a maximum 36 months and so it'll ruin the whole idea.

So after you add each code you'll see 36 months worth of xbox live gold. Once that's done, then proceed with the £1 ultimate pass (via Microsoft store) and you're good to go.

Well I’ve made my decision. The total lack of Dolby support has put me right off the PS5, and as a Sonos Arc owner it wouldn’t make much sense until I know more. I’ve decided I’m going to go with the Xbox Series X and upgrade my boggo PS4 to one of the later quieter PS4 Pro’s for a bit of longevity. Got the pro incoming, last of us 2 on order and will only cost about 50 quid to upgrade given current trading prices once I sell my PS4. In no rush for the Xbox so will grab it when more available.

Yeh the lack of xbox's is poop! I actually got an email from currys saying they wernt getting them back in stock haha! i feel it must just be an auto email that sends after so much time on the reserve list, xbox say more will be avalible on the 10th of Nov but im not holding my breath!

There will be a second round of pre order Series X volume released soon however it won't be delivered on "day one" 10th Nov but some time after exact dates not known but before end of Nov.

Paid for my curry's order interesting they jack up price 2k but give You a code for 2k off Ended up using work vouchers for 7% off not too shabby.

Ps plus is a must with ps5. Some classics from the PS4 hopefully with visual improvements

It certainly isn’t dead like people say by a long stretch, the RTX3080 sold out it was so popular and costs over 600 quid.

There’s reasons for both, 1 that I have a console for the lounge and pc is in my office.

Last console I had was a 360 so its been a while.
