That's a great-looking F31 ...I'm glad you were able to find one with the options you were looking for, that's a long wait!

I had 225/45/18 Michelin X Ice XI3 installed at all 4 corners. My car was delivered with the Type 441/summer tires 18x8 225/45/18, 18x8.5 255/40/18 but a 225/45/18 is fine on the 8.5 width rear. I'm in it for superior winter traction so square 225s are ideal.

I drove 3 years with my last F31 on all seasons and it was just OK in the snow so I'm ready for 3750lbs + xDrive + proper snow tires.

Installed the Dinan P1 Power Package last weekend. The car rips, as expected. Once I get a chance to clean the car I'll get some decent pics.

Dual Core Intercooler:
A billion times larger than stock. I believe in the design/engineering and the build quality is tops.

Dinantronics S3:
So good. OE quality hardware with superior programming. The throttle feels amazing, power delivery is super smooth and the transmission really cooks with these complimentary mods. Expensive, but worth it.

Axle Back Exhaust:
The N20 does not generate a nice exhaust note but this exhaust sounds just right. I know the exhaust is pretty much drone free on sedans and coupes but there is some drone around town in my wagon. Highway cruising is fine. Not sure what I'm going to do about it just yet...

I initially leased an EBII 328d and then purchased the 328i for this specific reason. With bolt ons the car rips nicely for my daily needs.

Malloy, Can i get the part number for the black / rubber with stitching boot/trunk liner?

And a better pic?

I've already ordered the rubber mats for mine, and there no pictures on the bmw parts list.

Sorry since this is a bit off topic, but figured I'd post this publicly to also help anyone in my same situation.

I'm in the market for an F31. Is the 328i that much better than the 328d? The gas efficiency is quite attractive but is that the only thing going for the diesel versions?

Yea, thats really about it. The efficiency is amazing but the car is slow and noisy.

In my opinion the n20 is pretty rowdy but the the n47 makes it seem like a smooth Lexus V8. I didn?t mind the noise, but that circa 2007 diesel unit sounds a bit out of place when next to modern diesels.

Also, the well documented timing chain issue scares me, and I think BMW USA is less likely to cover it it a problem occurred.

The n20 is a fun engine - I strongly prefer driving it. It's really fun now that its at/near stock N55 power levels.

ps. your wagon looks amazing!

Are they there already and just no switch?

I grew up in the UK and am used to them in the car. That said I see the odd Jaguar/ Audi driver with them on at times without most/ fog which reduces the ability to see the brake lights.

You can modify the stock switch or get the euro switch. Plug it in and code it, done.
