BMW 435i Towing
While doing a simple oil change on my 435i, I messed up big time and stripped the threads in the oil pan.
Now I need to take it to a shop and see what they can do, worst case scenario is I need a new oil pan. I've come to terms with this. My car is parked in my garage, and I'm not able to start it due to there not being any oil in it. I have to call a tow truck to come and tow it to the shop. My question is how will they tow it if it's in park? On top of that, the two front wheels are on rhinoramps while I was changing the oil. Is this something the towing company should know how to figure out? |

I don't own a automatic, but in the manual it should tell you how to move the car if you can't start the engine.
On older cars there is usually an access panel which allows you to release the gear selector and put the car in neutral to allow movement and towing. There has to be an equivalent for the electronic gear selector in your car.
