No offense, but how do I change the snobby semi-British accented voice in Nav?
No offense to our British friends, but how do I change the snobby semi-British-accented female voice in Navigation? I checked in Bimmercode and I have US English as "master" as well as all other language related settings are US English. She talks with a nasal-clip sound and draws out the end of the sentences with faux eloquence...drives me and my wife both nuts.
I have the 2015 NEXT maps for the US and NBT retrofit. Last edited by fe7565; 12-19-2021 at 10:22 PM.. |

It's not faux British, it's faux human. The software doesn't know how to pronounce certain words so it comes out sounding odd. It could be worse, at least it doesn't sound like Stephen Hawking.

Thanks, I am sure US English is set to "master", I checked that before. Will check if UK English can be set inadvertently active as well at the same time, albeit doubt it.

She’s not great with Spanish names either. More a cause of humor than annoyance though
