The gran coupe lends itself to the M treatment - almost to the where this should be the M3 sedan
(knew the negative comments would come out - must be a fine line between wagon and gran coupe) |

The conversion looks great so far. Looking forward to seeing the final project. Glad to see I wasn't the only one who wanted to see BMW do a M version of the 4 series grand coupe. Forget the haters and just enjoy your car. It is what you want.
Ps. Whats the cost of this conversion so far? |

But I agree..a BMW done M3 GC or M4 GC whatever they would call it would be a hard to ignore trade for me and I love my M3 daily driver! Right now 6 Series Gran Coupes are outselling the regular coupe models and if I were BMW I would get rid of the horrid 3 and 5 series GT models and put the GC's across the line from 3 series chassises to 6 series! So yeah BMW you just stay over there with that one!

You probably know this, but a 4-door M4 != M3. Chassis is different.

Agreed, I'm a big fan of the M6 GC and this does look like the younger brother.

hmm, firstly you did a great job putting it together with real OEM parts or parts close to OEM.
Unfortunately, no feeling it....

The roof is a black vinyl wrap? Very interested to hear how you did the roof.

LOLLLLLLL OMG. I can't believe all the bitchings towards a 1" badge
Keep in mind, I DON'T NEED TO FAKE A M4. I want speed, I have it in my R35 so why do I need to pose a lower league car to feel good about myself? None of your holy M cars beat godzilla lap time yeah? That said, I love the 4 series. I don't care how much it costs down the road, I'm just happy dumping money into a project that gets me a unique one of a kind ride BMW won't build. This forum is about all kinds of crazy mods, and I seriously question your level of intelligence for failing to see the point here No offense and I appreciate the support from the rest of you. Doing something fun to the rear quarter panel and will upload the pics once the widened rear is done. Once the cosmetics are good I'll dig into engine mods or swap

I just don't get it...why? Engine swap? On a perfectly good car? I just feel like you're spending more than an M3 to end up with a car that isn't as fast or good looking and will be less reliable and impossible to sell. To each his own.......
