245/50 R18 on 2014 BMW 328i xDrive Sedan?

I've an option to buy used wheels + tires that were on a 2013 X3 with the following specs:
18" x 8"
Offset 43
Tires: 245/50

My current stock setup:
17" x 7.5"
Offset 35
Tires: 225/50

I called tire rack and they said with 18" maximum I should go is 245/40.
Does anyone have any suggestions or experience with this set of wheels?
The wheels+tires are in great shape and the guy is selling them at a very reasonable price.

oem=26", 245/50/18=27.6" . the front tire will rub the spring perch and the outer shoulder will rub the fenderwell liner while turning. tire rack recommendation is correct. 245/40/18(25.7") max size on 18x8 for F3X series.

alohasurftoad Thanks man! The difference in offset won't be a problem if I put 245/40 on 18x8 with offset 43?

+43 rear will work, however +43 up front will be tucked in 11mm more than OEM. It should not rub anything on non xdrive but I'm less sure about xdrive
