M2 G87 front render

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Hi guys,

As I was not completely statisfied with my last render and more leaks have appeared, I decided to do another one. I think this shows the voerall proportions and the shape of the headlights a little bit better.

What do you guys think?

Cheers!

Appreciate you sharing the work.

I feel like the central lower opening is naked, some sort of grille might be going in there. Time will tell.

Front on it doesn’t look as terrible but as soon as you include any portion of the side view it looks like an awful collection of opposing shapes, hard and soft lines, and odd proportions.

Good work on the renders tho

Agree. I think there are pieces missing in both the center and possibly the side openings.

This is the new M car to get.

I actually look forward to it - something I haven't sAid since 2014 when the F80 was announced.

I like the vents in the headlight design. The front bumper is a bit too boxy and busy for my taste. Great render tho!

Looks good. I've got to believe there will be a little bit more of a forward angle in some of the lower half of the front end components. Something angling down toward center..

I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy this car. I've got an F80 M3 now that I got after selling my E46 M3… have been close to pulling trigger on an M2 Comp but they are too hard to find now and apparently don't sound too great. Hopefully this M2 has some nice improvements and looks decent. If so, I'll buy it :-)

A bit WRX-ish but having said that, This is 1000x better than BMW's most recent fascias. A step in the right direction here.

You did a great job on the render. Honestly, the proportions of the entire from bumper as a whole doesn't look bad, but what in the absolute world are those headlights? How did those headlights make it onto a production BMW vehicle? Regardless, even if the M2 kept the same front bumper as before it would still look like shit because those headlights are not it! BMW is known for its menace look which in part has a lot to do with the angel eyes! I can't even describe the hatred

Another L in my book! G8x looks better and if that vehicle gets this new facelift bumper with its OEM headlights, the M3/M4 will be fixed!

If you remove the BMW badge, this could be a Hyundai, Kia, or a Toyota.

And that's a problem.

Agreed.
Looks too much like a Korean crossover front or refreshed Honda Element.
Too square-ish on the front bits.

Nice render!

If it looks like this I'm getting one after my current M2 lease is up next November. (Metallic Black six speed manual)

Reserving judgement until we see more leaks, or a BMW “concept”.

That seems to be the new BMW design language… anywhere but here.

I remember in a review of an American car (I think the CTS-V), Jeremy Clarkson quipped that it was designed with a ruler. I wonder what he thinks of this...
Every design BMW is putting out there is getting worse and worse.

Lower portion is absurdly blocky. Surely they won't…(remembers G80 is real)…never mind.

Nice render! I can't help but think the new G87 M2 will have different headlights to the G42 2 series.

Perhaps there will be a return of the angel eyes or two halo rings?
