Crankcase Ventilation Hose disconnected
Had the code Code 20E120 breather Crankcase Ventilation Hose disconnected for awhile.
Didnt have a CEL for a few k miles only found the code after installing jb4. After having jb4 for 2k miles i got the cel. AP intake ER DP dinan midpipe i was on map 0 not really driving aggresively when i got the cel. from what i read it seems to be due to the intake? Any idea where the ventilation hose would be? |

I had a crankcase ventilation fault code also when i had a Injen open air intake and when i switched back to the bms intake the fault code never came back. I think the open air intake intake moves around too much since the crankcase hoses are connected to the turbo inlet pipe and it causes the fault code.

I also have the agency power intake and got a cel shortly after installing jb4 and driving it pretty hard. Same exact code and it wouldnt clear. I uninstalled the intake and reinstalled but this time really ensuring the intake boot clamps were all tightened well and have not gotten the code since

Yeah it’s the intake causing it I’m almost 100% because this happen with my injen and I went back to the bms and it never happen. The intake moves around and probably trips out the crankcase breather hoses and throws a fault since those hoses are connected to the turbo inlet. They should really revise these intakes and add some sort of a bracket to attach some where with a 1” rubber grommet or such so the intake can flex when the engine moves. |

Have the same code with aFePower Momentum CAI with both Dinan Stage 1 and JB4 Map 3 and 2.
Only happens at very low RPM, like coasting in a drive-thru, or heavy traffic when the trans is in a very high gear. Nice to see others finally having the same code so I know I'm not crazy :P It happens rarely enough (once every 2-3 weeks) that I just clear with with the JB4 app. EDIT: should mention I took the car to the dealer to have them verify nothing is actually disconnected. They were unable to find any issues (blamed the mods obviously, but I still wanted to check).

That's another good point, I only started getting it with the JB4 this winter, and with the Dinan box usually only at night. So air temp may be related as well.

Interestingly I got this code on the stock intake with no tune at all (I removed all my engine mods, likely selling the car soon). However I got an accompanying code 102001. JB4 lists this as "tuner code, ignore" but my Carly adapter said something like "Air Mass plausibility: air mass too high". Wonder if the MAF got dirty while I was working...
I cleared those two as it was within 10-20 miles of removing all the mods, will see what happens.

For the end of my story, turns out the recent codes may have been my fault. When I removed the FTP charge pipe, I apparently forgot to swap the gasket back onto the stock pipe.
So I guess, in general, the point is you may get these codes if you have a leaky charge pipe? Installed new gasket and it's been ok since then.

Same code with Agency power intake -_- Is the remedy just to go back to stock intake or keep clearing the code? That sucks... I've had an issue with every mod on this car

So I never had the code with the AP intake, I ran it for about 7/8k miles. Then I threw on the CTS intake and instantly had a code maybe 2 days after. Kept on the clearing the code for 1-2k miles, wouldn't go away.
Then I replaced the CCV and the code came back another 2/3 days after. So it can't be a faulty CCV, has to be the CTS intake (or sometimes other intakes). That doesn't mean the CCV valve can't go bad or accidentally get disconnected, it does happen to be very tight with the cold air intakes there, so it's always good to check anyways.

For those with AP intake.. what have you guys done? Gone back to stock or a different intake? Or are you guys just clearing the codes everytime. How often is it popping up? This is annoying :/

Will check the install to make sure everything's tight and see if the code comes back after clearing. Thanks!

Went back and reinstalled it much tighter this time and went on a drive and no immediate code yet. I did however notice some oil in my intake piping. Have you noticed anything like this? wondering if this is related to my code or I just need an oil catch can...
