High Mileage Injectors ?

Good evening gentlemen,

I have just eclipsed 201'000KM on the beast. I have put on about 7K since the rod bearing job and all is well. I have begun to think about fuel injectors.... Need I replace them ? So far, no misfires or cold start issues. I can get a bit of a rough hot start sometimes, during which I will hear a pre detonation knock. Interestingly enough, when the engine oil temperature is cooler, the startup from the auto stop start function is smooth, but becomes rough as the temp gauge creeps up on 120C. I can get 6 new Bosch EU6 injectors for about $550 Canadian Pesos, which seems like a pretty good deal. Anyone else hear a with a higher mileage N55 that benefited from replacing the injectors as a maintenance item ?

Try this. One bottle per tank, 1 or 2 tanks, before next oil change. BMW cleaner is this rebranded. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

If you have no problems, don't touch.

I hit 286,000KM on my 13 N55, and waterpump/injectors were not touched as they never gave me an issue.

Just run a fuel system cleaner every now and then (I ran Redline SI-1)

this, the redline cleaner is the best on the market. they are not all the same.
