B14 coilover - Rear bump stops, do you use any and why?
Hi,
after searching the forum I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. Which rear bump stops (no need at the front cause they are internal and at the rear it could be optional) beside stock could be use for two things: . make the ride smoother (maybe) . avoid reverse rake although I'm aiming for around 1"inch drop however, I'd like to hear your suggestions regarding this. Thank you for reading. Last edited by lebaaron; 03-06-2021 at 07:54 PM.. |

It's easy enough to check how much clearance you have before bump stop engagement in the rear. Measure hub to fender with car on the ground, then put that corner of the car on a jack stand with the wheel off and jack the wheel carrier up till it's at normal ride height. Then see what your bump stop clearance is.
That free travel is going to provide the smoothness you're looking for.
