I saw one here in Belgium...what's your take on the 316? Does it feel underpowered considering the size/weight?

Well, I used to have Honda Accord 2000cc which had 156 HP, I don't feel the 316 is weaker although it have 136 HP I think because the 8 transmission gear compensate for that, but I'm sure it will feel this way to whom is used to F30 320 and higher
I have a long trip to work and do a lot of milage so fuel consumption was a big considration for me, not to mention the high customs and taxes here in Israel , the 316i cost me around 60,000$ !! I enjoy it very much, it is a big advance for me but it sucks that the dealer do not let you choose what you want, they remove some basic features and provide the basic IDrive system and offer you a "luxury" package for additional 10,000$ including whatever he chose, take it or leave it so I ended up installing Xennon lights retrofit and have my music on stick rather than from my Iphone, but BMW is a BMW and it is a great driving experiance some pictures attached ) |

Enjoy the car buddy. You got the most important option in my opinion, the sunroof.

Looks great! Good choice with the wood trim. It's the ONLY one I've ever liked.
Quite surprising to hear that the 316i costs $60000! That's insane! You could get a stock 335i in my country for that price, jeeeez! |

it is very expensive since customs are 70% of the car price + 17% Sales tax, it means you pay 87% taxes on your car! |

its around the same price here, it starts at 50k excluding taxes, options, lines etc
so driveaway price with a few options can easily push 60k hell, my 318d was 65k with only a few options..

$60,000 for a 316i? That's insanely expensive for a car with that kind of power. Looks nice though.

This car do around 35 MPG combined,
I have 60 Miles a day going and back for work, and we pay around 8.5$ per Galon , you do the math in this case you must give up some power to save the fuel despite the car price or you go AH3 |
