Yeah the new wheel from RSW with heating feels spot on, it's got good heat transfer right around it. I can't believe how much nicer the RSW wheel feels compared to the OEM one, it's so much better.

Another recommendation here for Royal.
Mine is also heated.
I really wanted it flattened at the bottom, but they can't retain the heating element in doing that. I'm more than happy with it though, appreciate it won't be to everyone's taste.

Do they cover over the existing leather then ?
I was hoping they wouldn't as I don't want it any thicker.
I'm probably best contacting them direct to enquire.

Sorry for the confusion. I thought as they offer a thicker option they would trim over the existing leather with your desired material.

Just placed an order for this exact wheel - the grooves/contours look like they will make the grip extra comfy. Never used a flat-bottomed steering wheel, so hopefully not a mistake. Might as well make it different. £250 is very reasonable!

Me too but minus the blue centre stripe.

Got it installed today (back to Automodz) and could not be happier with the result. Feels like I'm driving a new car For the money, it's probably the best mod I've done

£65 - done in 1 hour
So total including fitting and shipment came to £330 - very decent compared to buying a new wheel

That wheel is now crying out for M front and back trims and paddles.

No link. I bought mine off ebay. Got a good price on a M3 wheel so just stripped the trims and paddles off then put them on my wheel. It makes a big difference to the look.
It will totally finish off the transformation of your wheel.

Definitely think a pair of oem m3/4 paddles would set off the new wheel perfectly, can find bargains on eBay with m3 owners upgrading and selling them cheap. I paid £50 for mine.

But looks stunning nonetheless

That's a lot of money for a steering wheel! I think Royal Steering Wheels could retrim to similar specs for much less

And if I'm honest to a much higher standard from the looks of yours versus that stock pic - the leather to alcantara doesn't quite match up.

I'm very tempted to get a quote to retrim mine! Unsure about colour though as it's very subtle on inside with high gloss black and silver.

Forum rules…£££

They certainly don't seem to skimp on quality - feels like it will last a lifetime.
If you stick to black leather without the coloured ring, it's pretty subtle.
The added grip makes it stand out a bit more, but such a pleasure to hold

Very, very nice.

With the flat bottomed wheel, is the vertical trim (from the airbag down to the bottom of the wheel) a special part or something? And if so, is this provided by Royal Steering wheels or do you have to do something yourself?
