If you click the link the cheapest is actually £1500

Still a great price, but i'm glad I went with the B8 at £320 less.

I had a set from Amazon, the controller failed after a few months... but the LEDs were fine.

Got another controller from eBay and its been fine on the tv sine June last year... tv on everyday.

We have Phillips hue in the kitchen as floor lighting.... was expensive for 6m and no different to the ebay ones (apart from the connector)

Took a pic this morning

Bottom right you can just see the square cube which is the IR for the lights.

The connectors

We have the hue strip around the tv and then two hue blooms, one I each corner. That way the back light blends more across the wall. Personal preference, gives a better contrast, Alexa connected so change to suit film.

Kids change it more than us. Funny and scary that a four and two year old are perfectly comfortable with an AI.

Well it’s up and running. Wow. This thing blows the socks off my old panny 55cx802b and I thought that was decent.

And that’s before doing any real messing with it. So far very happy indeed.

Awesome mate, can’t wait to get mine on Tuesday!

Don’t know if you’ve seen this calibration guide:

The settings on here are a good start but to get the best out of the picture it needs to be professionally calibrated.

Well I’ve got the OLED set up and WOW! It is incredible!!

4K picture on Dynasties on iPlayer app and 4K Youtube videos is just amazing, I don’t know what the people are on about saying you have to sit closer than 6ft away from a 55” TV to notice the difference, there is absolutely no doubt that from 8-9ft away it is easily better than 1080p! I cannot believe I’ve waited this long to get a 4K TV!

Also the features on it compared to my 4 year old Panasonic is a quantum leap, the ease of the setup process, the ability to install new apps, the magic remote pointer, the TV remote works the Sky HD box!! And Youtube casting works perfectly from my iPad, something that I read online isn’t supported on LG’s anymore, so I ordered a Chromecast Ultra, which I will now send back and get a refund!

If anyone else is on the fence about OLED’s, just do it!

... especially with OLED I would have it professionally calibrated. Doing it to all my PC / TV screens. You can get it cheaper than 200 if you look around.

Yeah Youtube has some older stuff going on - I think they might still be using the DIAL protocol which chromecast is built on top of, but it lets you connect and 'cast' to an app on the TV without needing chromecast. Same end result
