M435i reads M140i on the dash

maybe im stupid but why does my 435i read M140i near the speedometer when i turn it on?? am i missing something?

It sounds like BimmerCode. If not you can adjust/change/remove that with Bimmercode

Sounds like the previous owner coded it. I'm guessing there isn't a "435i" option so they went with "M140i". Weird that they chose that one and not the "M Performance" one.

I recently had this issue with BimmerCode. At the moment the in dash display actually only works with like 3 models without having a German word "Placeholder" overlayed on top of it....so the guy probably just settled for whatever would actually display.
