Welcome lights on all LCM settings?

Hi all. BimmerCode non-expert only allows welcome lights when my lcm switch is on auto or 2. Is there any way to code welcome lights when my lcm is completely off? TIA

Why not just leave it in Auto?

It's just habit I guess that even when auto I always shut my lights completely off.

I switched on Auto when I bought the car, and haven't touched it since.

It would be a lot easier to break your unnecessary habit rather than code the car to allow you to do something that you don't need to do. Sorry I know that isn't the answer you were looking for, but ...

But in the AUTO, the welcome lights only work when it's dark.

Maybe he wanted the welcome lights during the day too. To show angels when unlocking

That's wasn't the case with my 2014 F30. The WL worked all day until I changed this:
FEM_BODY 3060 WL_ABHAENGIG_VON_DUNKELHEIT
(welcome light dependent on darkness)
from nicht_aktiv to aktiv

In AUTO, mine work regardless of the light level.

Exactly. That's consistent with mine until I changed the default setting of that parameter.

Appreciate the response - my initial thought on this was since Bimmercode allows welcome lights to come on during Auto or Position 2 - i just figured in Expert Mode there would be a setting that would trigger the welcome lights under all LCM settings - guess i was wrong.

As far as breaking the habit or leaving the lights in auto - I typically don't like leaving it in auto during the day because when i park in my parking garage for work (or if i drive through a tunnel) i find it utterly useless to have my lights go on automatically for a whole 5-15 seconds. I already have my DRLs on so triggering the headlights to turn on i find unnecessary and annoying

But yes - I do like having the welcome lights and yes they work with auto regardless the time of day.

You could leave the car parked in Auto then switch the lights off before you turn on the ignition, then go back to Auto once you leave the garage. That is the same number of manual actions, just at a different time.
