Now with Blackstone oil report!!
It's pretty normal to find some excess metal and silicon in new engines due to residual wear-in stuff washing out. Of course, it's also not unusual for higher end German cars to not really show a lot of evidence of wear-in, and that's what we have here. Not that we're complaining, mind you. We like when engines look great from the start. It's easier to establish wear trends. Universal averages show typical wear levels for this type of engine after about 5,500 miles on the oil. The trace of fuel is likely just from normal operation and not harmful. Nice engine. |

Willing to make a $1000 incentive which is almost two payments!
Also had 3rd oil change / 12k mile/1yr service today. Mileage = ~6350. Still has original plastic on door sills and foot wells! haha Also, carpet floor mats have never been touched - still in original packaging! Maintenance plan will transfer to new owner (car leased March 2014 < July 1 and is a 2014MY): For model year 2015 or later vehicles sold or leased by an authorized BMW center on or after July 1, 2014, BMW Maintenance Program coverage is provided for the exclusive benefit of the initial purchaser, owner, or lessee of a new vehicle, sales demonstrator vehicle, Aftersales Mobility Program (AMP) vehicle, or BMW Group company vehicle from an authorized BMW center in the United States (including Puerto Rico).
