Bootmod3 Stage 2+ E30 octane maps for N55-EWG are now available!
Stage 2+ E30 octane OTS maps for N55 EWG and M2, upgraded HPFP required. PWG172X map updates will follow.
We decided to make a new OTS map for the N55 equipped cars with an upgraded high pressure fuel pump. The limiting point on cars with the N55-EWG and N55-M2 engine is that they run out of fuel pressure before the turbo runs out of steam. These maps can be used with upgraded turbo as well, an example is the car we had on dyno. The dynograph shows the Stage 2H E30 octane OTS map compared to the new Stage 2+ E30 octane OTS map on a car with a Pure Stage 2 turbo. Stage 2H E30 octane: 447WHP/452WTQ Stage 2+ E30 octane: 501WHP/512WTQ Stage 2H is our previous OTS map that maxes the stock HPFP. Stage 2+ is the new OTS map that takes advantage of an upgraded HPFP, in this case from Dorch Engineering. These cars produce around 290-305WHP stock, with this map and the same upgrades like the testcar, a 200WHP gain is possible - at 20 PSI! Required hardware: - Aftermarket chargepipe - Aftermarket intercooler - High flow downpipe - Upgraded high pressure fuel pump - Pure Stage 2 (numbers in pics posted) or equivalent turbo upgrade * AFTERMARKET HPFP MUST BE SET IN THE CONFIG * - Upgraded high pressure fuel pump Map Configuration for the HPFP should be set before flashing We recommend XHP transmission flash to take advantage of the high torque #bootmod3 #bm3 #bmw #bmw235i #135i #235i #335i #435i #535i Last edited by Halim@HCP; 10-13-2020 at 08:14 AM.. |

Damn that's crazy. Curious to know what the numbers look like with upgraded HPFP and stock turbo.

Thanks Halim@HCP for continuing to find power for our N55’s!
Everyone, this is such a great map you don’t have to spend money on custom tuning. proTUNING Freaks and Halim@HCP have done incredible work on this one! |

That is totally awesome... is there a reason only doing an E30 map... what about this magic E47 or even a full stage2+ E85 map... If the HPFP is changed out there is no reason not too if there is a benefit to be had...

Perfect timing! A happy medium in getting even more power gains on an OTS stock turbo map until I decide to go Pure Stage 2. Now I have a reason to pull the trigger quicker on the Dorch Stage 2.
Would you guys agree upgrading my fueling is a safer/more reliable method in comparison to paying for a custom tune (much cheaper) with 30PSI on stock turbo? Achieving 420-430 wheel with 20PSI on E85 sounds easier to sleep at night than running a 30PSI tune. Appreciate the thoughts and opinions guys. And thanks PTF! |

Also note this tune requires mixing for E30, you don't just fill up with E85. |

Yeah I'm aware of the E30. I used that spreadsheet you sent and been running the OTS stage 2 E30. Didn't clarify in my last post. |

Will do! I should probably be logging my current set up. Haven't had the chance but the "stuttering" disappeared since the clutch upgrade. That's probably something PTF should include on these tunes. Upgraded clutch for the 6mt's highly recommended. |

ZM2 Just loaded on the new map and just went for a drive around town and compared to my now two custom maps, I have to give credit to Halim@HCP for the continued support on the N55 because even without logging anything yet, this OTS feels more solid in the low end at least so far compared to my custom tunes. Another small thing I immediately noticed is that my DE Stage 1 pump is no longer ticking audibly which I told my tuner after getting it that the pump can be dialed in further to quiet it down and they just blamed it on the nature of a mechanical pump. The sound still exists but definitely is more tame now where standing next to the car you don't hear it ticking away.
Currently a rainy day here in NYC so the traction gods won't be in my favor but will be doing some logging over the next two days to see how the map is for a stock turbo EWG F30. Currently running a close to e50 blend and its amazing how just picking up a new "OTS" map feels so dialed in. I partially regret at times first custom tune because it burned away the cats in my first Fabpseed catted DP and my second was more dialed in but most know that getting a hold of your tuner after some time can take forever (for reference I requested a change from my tuner to dial back the boost because the boost target of around 22 psi for the stock turbo wasn't playing well). Also think it's time to finally look into XHP as the car does feel more "torquey" though the free BM3 trans tune was a nice addition from the team for a while. |

This is such a great update no doubt! But there is always more with a custom tune also. This is 20psi and with pure turbo to max things out you could push it hard to 24-26psi for all out maxed out power and custom tune. 500whp OTS though and 20psi is really really nice. Great work guys!

It’s definitely hard to beat this amount of power that is both safer & more flexible than a custom tune simply by flashing a new OTS map! BM3 and Halim are providing huge bang for the buck value for anyone that is FBO and simply adds one of the new cost effective HPFP options, even if they’re on the stock turbo! Then, simply install a larger turbo later, run the same map, and you get another huge boost in power! Huge kudos to Halim@HCP I’m just glad I got to be part of the testing earlier this year. |

I'm now truly wondering if I should upgrade to the rwd 6mt g82 or keep my f32 6mt xdrive and add in a hpfp and PS2....
It really seems like the new cars as well as the f8x cars have too much power for 2 driven wheels off a dig : If only the m-xdrive was going to be available with the manual |
