Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts with Mission after coming from a JB4. How many have tuned the X3 M40i on Stage 2?

The X3 M40i exhaust does not fully bypass the muffler like it does on the 340i/440i with MPPSK. See images below.

Ah...my bad. I was told it was open. Live and learn...the strange thing is why the exhaust gets so much louder in Sport even with ASD turned off and the flap always open? Interesting. Thanks for the correction.

my MP equipped 340i with Dinan midpipe / ASD turned off / flap always opened / gets much much louder (gun shots, snap crackle pop) in Sport and Sport+ vs comfort

Convert from Dinan Elite

Has anyone made the switch yet from a Dinan Elite .
I have the Dinan on my M240i and so far pretty satisfied. Obviously there are benefits to a tune vs a piggy back just wanted to know if anyone had specific details on what if any improvements they experienced .

had my Dinan removed last week, ...... sent MP data last week, ... waiting on the turn around, ...... we shall know soon

I will add this, .... if/when Dinan CAI is released, my plan is to purchase/install that, and then look at CATTED DPs, .... definitely going to BUILD BUILD BUILD!!
but more than likely I will not get Dyno'd, cause xDrive, and i do not think there is a 4wheel dyno near me

I understand they are moving facilities but this should have been communicated to the customers/ potential customers. It looks bad on them.

I have a MPPSK 340i and I had a JB4 installed up until a week ago when I installed the MP tune. The MP stage 1 tune is much more consistent than the JB4 and the power is smooth and throughout the rpm range. It seems more powerful than the MPPSK tune but like others have said where it really shines is the top end power. It keeps pulling all the way to the top whereas the MPPSK tune would stop pulling. The torque hit isn't as hard on the mid range but I'm ok with that since there is more hp throughout the range now.

Thanks for ringing in. Appreciate the feedback. I'm wondering if the gearing is lower on the M40 than the 340? If so, maybe the loss of the low-end torque wouldn't be as noticeable?

How willing is MT to shuffle the parameters around?

Add the JB4 back - take log and post the results... I am interested in see what boost, timing and other info to compare it..

You can use the JB4 to manually control the boost at each RPM if you want that boost back...

Flashed, and a quick couple of runs, .......
power is different than STOCK, not sure MPS1/STOCK are equal, or if MP is more powerful, but could just be how the power is distributed differently. Also, my HP/T gauges were reset to 480/480, and not that it matters cause I believe they don't mean anything, my HP hits just underneath the 360 mark, with the TORQuE hitting 410'ish

2nd EDiT: changed the number put up on the gauges, originally said HP was at 410/420, but actually 360

3rd EDIT: OK, I did not mean Dinan Stage 1 elite, I meant stock, was running stock for several days before MP tune - change "Dinan Stage 1 elite" to STOCK

Also, spoke with Alex, he said that doesn't sound right, is checking the logs right now

4th EDIT: I had lost my connection while FLASHing, so it had not downloaded and adjusted the performance parameters yet, hence the 480-hp/480-tor gauges

I'm almost ready to pull the trigger but need more feedback compared to the Dinan stage 1. Anyone have a dyno of this MP stage 1?

I have not dyno'd, no 4x dyno in my area, but it def pulls harder than the Dinan Stage 1, at least the one I had on for almost a year, BUT, a Dyno would nice
