My new 2017 330i XDrive M Sport

I've been lurking on the forum for a while now, and its really nice to finally be driving one. Took delivery this morning and I already have anxiety over keeping the black clean! This should be a blast

It's my first BMW and already love it. I have some wheel gap I need to take care of though! I plan on doing some tint as well.

Thought I'd share my happy day and say hello to you all

Cheers.
Brian

Interesting to see the 10mm difference of the x-drive suspension (I have M-sport rwd). Nice ride though! Also have 17' 330i

yea. us xdrive guys get screwed. they do that for people that use chains. its super annoying. let's be realistic. people that need to chain up probably have subarus or SUVs.

thanks everyone! and congrats E36, small world. How are you liking it so far? While searching the forum it didn't seem like there were many 330's at all here...it's nice to see some come out of the wood work.

Congrats on the new ride. I have the same car though it’s RWD. I had Opti-Coat applied to the paintwork and would highly recommend it. Takes the look of the BSM up to another level, does not attract as much dirt and is a lot easier to maintain!

Congrats.

I can't tell if it's the angle at which the pictures were taken, but the wheel gap shows very pronounced compared to what I can recall on mine ('14 335i xDrive M-Sport) and a few others I've seen. And those are the 18" sport wheels, unless I'm so tired I'm cross-eyed? Maybe it's time for my eye-exam again.

Throw up a picture, I'd love to see it. I haven't seen too many 330's on the forum

did you do paint correction before hand too? I got quoted for paint correction/CQuartz over the weekend. I just don't know if I want to spend that kind of money since its a lease. Being a black car in the desert, it would be nice for ease of washing and help preventing swirls.

thanks!

ya, that's my 4X4.

its probably a little bit of angle and incline, but mostly its a gap the size of the Grand Canyon.

Yes, a single stage paint correction was done prior to application of Opti-Coat. The single stage paint correction took care of about 95% of the swirls as the paintwork was in reasonably good shape when it was done.

To me it was money well spent. The paintwork looks so much better now, much more clarity and gloss. I now only wash the exterior every few weeks coz it does not attract much dust.

the wheel gap gets bigger and bigger as I keep looking at pictures of my car

First two pics without tints, last one with tints 35%
I'll get better pics up soon, I plan on getting some shots tomorrow!

Anyone have coilover recommendations?

I understand exactly how you feel! I have the same gap and was not happy about it when washing it today. It needs to be dealt with, but I want to coat it first. Yours looks good with the tint! I need to get that done as well.
