Maybe 'someone' won't come along at 9K. Or maybe they will. I don't know I just posted this a day ago. Maybe 'someone' will make an offer based on what they see is market value for this type of lease situation and I find that offer acceptable. Isn't that is what it's all about anyway? Besides the time it took for me to post the details on my car, I'm not sure where I'm 'wasting' my time? It seems that based on recent posts the going rate on a lease takeover of a 340i is 450-600/mo with no money down. So my combination of 350/mo with 9k down (with 2450 back at lease end) gets someone to 550-600/mo. For anyone who is interested (once I post pictures), make an offer! If no one is interested, great, I'll keep driving the car. My objective of putting a 'feeler' out there was to gauge the market. |

But putting 9k down on a lease immediately puts the buyer upside down on the finance. Even if they have full GAP coverage they're likely to still be at a loss if they get in an accident. Bad buy. Fact, not opinion.

Last year I took over a lease of a 335i with the $56K msrp.2 year lease with 26Kmi left for me.The payment is $450 including tax BUT I keep the MSDs-$3500.Which makes the effective payment around $350.
I know I got a really good deal but I've seen at least a couple more 335s and a 435GC in the $400/mo payment range showing up on swapalease within last 6-8 months. Hope this helps you to gauge the market. |

Thanks for the insight elbmw, I'm just going to keep driving the car- it clearly does not make sense to try to get rid of it unless I need to give it away. To Kennybar - I put no money down on this lease, that is, no cap cost reduction. Only money down was acquisition fee, first month, security deposit and dealer fees.
