Yesterday on my oem side display the language turned to German I believe. I was able to get it back to English. Whenever I shut my car off it goes back to German.

I tried disconnecting the battery to reset it but this did not fix the problem. I also hooked it up to my laptop and cleared the codes and I'm still having the same issue. Any recommendations?

As soon as all of your issues are on the OEM side I would check the harness first, perhaps the optical cable (if you have one) is loosing contact. You can disconnect the android harness and connect your oem harness directly to the multimedia unit, connect original screen and test if the issues remain or not. Thus you'll know if the problem is in android or in oem system.

Hi folks'
I need to start a certain app after boot so i managed to get my head round Tasker and set it up correctly so i thought. Got stuck in a boot loop but managed to recover the unit with info from this thread.
Is it not possible to run apps after boot with Tasker on these units, or does anyone know another way?

My voice button wont trigger voice command no matter what setting i choose in the menu but a long press will start my Nav app but i already have a shortcut for that adjacent to the idrive wheel. I would love to be able to use the voice button for android voice commands, is it possible to write an app that can do that in the same way you are starting Zlink here?

Unzip the File into the root of your System for example in a folder called "root", do not unzip it into your Userprofile folder or Desktop !

Start "install-root.bat" and enter the IP adress of your headunit.

Info: do NOT start the batch file ad Administrator, start it normally !

You have already a other software open thats using adb, reboot your PC and only start the rooting tool.

I have no issue automatically launching Poweramp v3 and iGO in split screen automatically after reboot. I'm using Automate for the task.

Hey guys,

AVIN finally got some anti-glare protectors for the 12.3" units and I got mine recently. I made a post with some comparison shots over on the F10 forum. It is considered for Android Navigation apps while you're on OEM (other than AUX) sound mode. But on later Android HUs it often doesn't work, don't know why.

What apps are you willing to use it for?

apologies in advance for the noob question , I've read most of this thread but can't seem to find anything concerning the split screen function , how do you do it ?can you split the 2 screens into a 60-40% ratio for example or will it be 50-50 ?

Splitting 60-40 was possible on Android 8.1, but since 9th version only 50-50 is possible on our devices. This is very disappointing and I don't know any solution to that.
