hoping to not have EDC
Hey guys, just joined this forum and loved it. I was looking around for kw suspensions for the upgrade and not sure if I got the EDC system or not (hopefully not). I do get the code S2VF saying the Adaptive M chassis. I've read through few threads saying that if you get the S2VF code, you have the EDC, which is qutie confusing. I have attached a pic of my front strut, and hope someone can clearify this.

You have EDC your pic is showing the front sensor. On the other side of the strut there should be a protrusion coming off of the strut with another cable going to it (that's the solenoid valve).

It is very likely that your vehicle has Adaptive M suspension, or EDC (Electronic Damper Control) shocks.
Another verification alternative: does the suspension get stiffer when selecting Sport mode? What's the primary reason for replacing OEM suspension? What specific suspension behavior do you want to gain? |

Yeah, I did check the other side, and there is a protrusion conencting to the struct. So sad, I think I'll get the EDC blocker then.

I just want a more comfortable rebound and more stable when driving corners. |

Congratulations. KW V3 coilovers provide independent compression and rebound controls - one of the best features. The lowering range is a bit low for my preferences but could be perfect for you.
Highly recommend 4 wheel alignment after installation. |

Someone on the forums was able to code out EDC and forgo spending extra on a cancellation kit. I believe it's possible using BimmerCode and the like.
