2014 GT Pricing
Anyone have a good guesses for US pricing? I went to other countries and there is a wide margin in some and not so wide in others...

Based on my research it's probably going to be ~3k more than its sedan counterpart.
CA told me production will start July. We are looking to ED it in September.

I am definitely antsy on seeing some firm details on costs and order dates for one of these.
I am really hoping to find one I can test drive shortly after release and if it meets the expectations (I imagine it will) then I plan on doing the ED thing to keep the wife happy. She is pushing for a Euro vacation right now and I am trying to hold her off until we know more on the 3GT.... If they do release in July that might give us time to get an ED scheduled before the weather turns too cold.

Yes, AWD is all we get for 2014. But it's probably an even bet that RWD will appear for 2015.

That combined with the availability of the Oyster interior in 03/2014 means I may just try and hold out until the 2015 models come out...

I'd guess the M Sport should be just under $55K in the States. I expect the dealer markup by about 10K.

WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE ?
Pricewise the 328xi GT is around $47k - $50K for basic configuration with nav, heated seats and xenon. For the 335xi GT, it's probably about $52K - $55K. Which would you choose ? 328xi or 335xi ? I think the 328 is able to do 5.9 - 6.0 seconds 0-60 mph, while the 335xi is able to do 5.1 - 5.3 seconds 0-60. The 328 can do 32 - 33 MPG on the highway, while the 335xi will probably be closer to 28 - 29. |

Gas prices continue to increase. As a reference, the 535 GT's have eye-poppingly low resale value. About $10k decrease in value per year. Hopefully, the 3 GT's won't decrease in value the same way, who knows?
For maximum value, I'd go with the 328xi GT. But at the same time, why settle? It's your money.
