I have a CIC mmi unit from wakaa.us initially I had an issue with the iDrive not working only to find out I was connecting it improperly. After getting method 2 to work the screen is blank. I've troubleshooted trying a number of different methods to get a video input and unfortunately nothing works. As soon as
I put everything back to stock it seems to work again without a problem. I confirmed iDrive works because when everything is hooked up i can hear the mmi clicking when I hold down MENU. I also tried to download the software from their UK site and to my surprise the download link is dead. I've contacted the vendor and he's not sure what's wrong with it. He claims he can get me the software in 3 days which is ridiculous considering my current drive situation is with the headunit sticking out of the dash and I drive a 6MT so going to 5th gear is a 50/50 chance of punching my headunit
I was informed that it is a carlinkit unit and the andream mass forum thread does not have any carlinkit cic softwares
