Bought front struts online that were for a 3 series
I learned a lesson today. I went on Partsgeek.com to buy front Struts for my 2014 428ix a few weeks ago. I got them installed and the car sits about an inch higher. Then i found out that Partsgeek was advertising the same shocks for the 3 and 4 series when the 4 series sits lower. So when I contacted them for some compensation, they just wanted me to reinstall them and send them back. I won't be paying again to do that, so I will just let them be. So be careful when you buy online.

Before buying any parts look them up at realoem.com. They show every model and year that every part was used in. It would have told you that F30 struts are only used in F22 and F30.

+1. I only trust the parts site's info only after I have cross checked it from realoem. Many times, the part is mis-labeled on a parts site but as long as the p/n matches, I have never had an issue.
