Gc is great. A little more settled ride than the f30, feels more refined somehow.
Back seats are fine for occasional adults. 2+2 really though.
Boot access is easy way better than f30. Looks are subjective but I'd take the 4 every time.

440 GC (closer to 439) or 430 GC (a bit farther from 439)?

My previous car was 2013 BMW 335i sedan. Current vehicle: 2017 BMW 440i GC.

The fit and finish is much better but to be fair later model year could be the bigger contributor to fewer rattles.

Road noise often depends on the brand of run flat tires. Bridgestone Potenza S001 will generate more road noise than Pirelli P Zero tires. I suggest to avoid Bridgestone Porenza S001 if less road noise is important.

Back seats will accommodate two adults of average height without any concerns.

I prefer my F36 over F30.

I love my 430 GC. No one has complained about the back seat and one of my friends is 6'2. Hatch is great. Ride and road noise is good too. I never drive my Jag XK anymore.

428i GC here, love it very much. Love the hatch plenty of stuff you can fit in there. No rattle so far, knock on wood. Got SSR runflats, start making noise back at 20k miles .... I'm at 27k miles now probably ready change to non runflats along with the wheels

Unfamiliar people often say the 4 series is just a low-ceiling version of the 3. While 3 and 4 have a lot in common, the 4 is so different and so superior (not to mention sexier), that (price aside) unless you need the extra head-space in the rear, there should be no dilemma.

When I was buying, the 3 did not even come in question. It was 4 or no BMW at all.

They gave it a new name 4 series which rendered the 3 series as second rate. I drove them back to back during buying my car and there is a subtle deference between them but I love how the 4 GC drive lot better than the 330i which already came out as 2016 model.

I test-drove a 3-Series as it was the only one available with the engine I was interested in.
It felt so „normal" and boring in comparison to the 4. The interior is the same, yet you feel so differently in the GC. It feels special and it looks way better IMO.

Just went in to test drive and check out the vehicle I'm getting, and your right even though there pretty much the same the 4 series feels and look a lot more superior going to sign the deal ina couple days probably it's black on black and going to get black rims or plasti dip then since it's a 2 year lease

I have to agree, when the 4 series came out, it should have just replaced the 3.

GC is pretty sweet, had it as a loaner car. It has 3 series routes, but feels slightly bigger as it is wider like the 4 series coupe. The GC hatch is sweet, I think it's a power liftgate like on the G20, but a hatch and has more cargo space. Feels like there's more room for backseat passengers though the roof is lower being a 4 door coupe.

I've had my 2016 428I Gran Coupe for almost 3 years now as my lease comes to an end. About 25K miles on the car and it has been rock solid. Absolutely love the hatch and it would be tough for me to get another car without it. A M440I Gran Coupe would sure be amazing.. Whenever it comes
