I used bimmercode to code my tailgate for closing from the button in footwell and close without long press on key fob and it effected my soft close mechanism. All coded functions worked but boot lit slams when closing instead of slowing down when nearly closed and sucking in.

I reverted coding with bimmer code but still slams when closing however it does slow down when opening.

Couple of questions as E-sys is new to me. Is there a way to basically reset the all HKFM to what it was before bimmercode? Do I need Launcher to do it?
Or maybe I'm looking at this issue incorrectly and need to start elsewhere?

I tried re-initialisation of boot lit with ISTA and still the same and no faults shown.

With E-Sys, VO Code HKFM with original unmodified FA, and it will be reset to factory coding.

Thanks.

I believe I've done it. Saved the FA file, calculated FP etc, wrote it in VCM Master, then went to Coding, Read SVT and Coded HKFM. All successful as far as I could see.

But the boot lid still slams when closing...

Then issue is not a coding issue.

Question Cannot edit E-Sys data

I'm using the following:

E-Sys
Version 3.33.0 (build 53640) - 2018-09-18
PSdZ Version 5.07.01-2018-09-17T14:25:05Z

Code AwayDKF01.est

PSDzData Extracted from ISTA version 4.19.21

Everything works OK except for when I edit the codes I get the error:

An error occurred while processing the EST file "C:\Data\EST\Code AwayDKF01.est". See details for more information. [C157]

Not sure what I'm doing wrong?

What is validity date of Code AwayDKF01.est?

Why aren't you using E-Sys Launcher instead, which is .EST Token Solution, CAFD Mapping, and Cheat Sheets all-in-one?
