1) ConnectedDrive website 2) Using my Windows 10 PC 3) On a Macbook Air Nothing works even though the ConnectedDrive site shows that Map EVO 17-2 is available for my car. This is what it states on BMW's ConnectedDrive Help .... and yes, the spelling mistake is theirs not mine! Map Update - USB Map Update Why do I need the BMW Update Manager to download navigation maps updates? The BMW Update Manager gaurentees the quality of the download process and guides the user through it. I guess they want us to think we are getting good value from a dealer when and if we visit one. It would be a lot simpler if BMW just sent us the .bmwm file ... one click on that in their Download Manager, and it will download. I've just sent this email to info@bmw.com.au .... but don't hold your breath! You might like to read some of the comments by frustrated BMW owners on Bimmerpost, and then fix the problem: http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...9&postcount=26

Hi all
Just phoned BMW Genius regarding the maps. Unfortunately the map file is corrupt and will cause issues so BMW Munich have disabled the download until such time as the new file is available. The guy I spoke to at BMW Genius (excellent service offered by BMW by the way) said that he will email as soon as the new file is available. When I get advised I will post an update here to advise everyone. BTW if anyone ever has any problems/questions BMW GENIUS is an excellent service offered BY BMW Australia. You can phone / email / or make an appointment with your local BMW Genius (apparently each dealership has one) and they will sit with you in your car if necessary and go through whatever you want.

Thank you for this. However, it would have saved many people a lot of time and bother if the geniuses at BMW posted this information on their ConnectedDrive website!

NBT evo 2017-2 still unable to download. I tried beginning of December before I went on vacation and tried again now and still nothing!
I wonder why they even bother with the 2017 -x when it seems so far only one new map per year. |

Australia and NZ don't get 2 map updates per year, just the one.
Whether it is newer than a 17 version 2 or not I'm not sure. Pretty sure NEXT is for NBT cars, EVO is for NBT2 cars and Premium is for CIC cars |
