OEM hood designation

Buying a replacement hood and curious to know if there is a way to know if the hood is OEM or not. Is there some sort of marking or destination that sets it apart from aftermarket?

If it's OEM (used) it should have various emissions labels underneath, often people don't bother with the labels on AM parts. The stamping and production marks will also be different, get a good pic of the underside and someone with a similar model will give you a pic to compare

Are non-oem steel hoods even available? Given the cost of making a die and access to a suitably sized stamping machine, I wouldn't imagine anyone could justify making knock-offs unless making them in the tens of thousands.

Could be wrong on that though...
