Installing front lip

Hello guys! I have been reading all of you for about a year and since I bought my 435 I decided to create an account.

I bought a aftermarket front lip that fits very well but when I try to secure the center of the lip with my bumper for some reason the screws are not holding at all. I made a few extra holes and now the center of the lip is held by a couple nylon cable tie. It looks like this:

after driving it the nylon cable gets loose a little bit so it hangs even more.

Has anyone had the same issue or has any ideas of how I can fix it?
I called shops around my area but they don't work with aftermarket parts.

Any help will be much appreciated.

If that’s the msport I kinda had the same issue, I used double sided tape in the middle spot and then Drove a self tapping thru that and it worked pretty well.

Use plastic blind rivets with a rivet tool. $15 at harbor Freight and my opinion it secured it a thousand times better than the screw that only goes into plastic. The plastic rivet will pull the pieces together very tight and secure and are impossible to remove without a drill.

Hey guys thanks for the replies. I ended up buying a rivet gun with the plastic rivets. Now it seems like its holding it pretty well. I will leave an update in a couple of days to let you know how it holds.

FWIW - that spot on the splitter gets hammered by everything.
I'm on my 2nd one after my kid bumped a parking block and smashed it.
BUT my mounts held.

I drilled 2 holes in the factory underside bumper (to match the splitter mount) and then ran a small bolt, washer, washer and nylon lock nut x 2.

It... does... not... move.

well... after just one day driving it, the center of the front lip got caught underneath the car while I was driving on the highway. So you can imagine how the front lip ended up looking.
So I decided to remove it and leave the bumper oem as of right now.

You need a steel plate behind the bumper to act as a sandwich to compress it all together. The OE front splitter is fitted that way aswell. Its the only way.

I installed mine without the steel plate because I couldn't figure out where it went according to the instructions. Couldn't find any videos either. Its been fine without but where exactly does the steel plate go. Diffuser, steel plate then bumper or diffuser, bumper then plate?

Seeing how scratched up the bumper is at the bottom I'm wondering how long this lip is going to last. Can you post a better pic of the front of your car?

FWIW - it's plastic. I'm about 1" off the ground with my F32 with the replica motorsport splitter. It's scratches every driveway and speed bump. But it's all underside. No big deal. For $125-$150 shipped, the scraping underside is pretty minimal. It's more scary noises than actual wear.

Scraping driveways won't end the splitter... hitting parking blocks or curbs will.

Ask my teen daughter how that works...

Just use the simple nut/bolt and fender washer method to install the center. YES, you will need a drill. It's not scary I promise.

For right now i kept it without the splitter since it fell while I was driving. I made the holes and secured it with the rivets not good results.

Rivnuts/Plus nuts will hold. I've had no issues with my splitter pulling out at high speeds or on the track. The bolt up design allows me to take the splitter on and off fairly easy (I don't run the splitter in daily driving). You can see my writeup on them here.
