Any idea of cost to R & R pre 2-15 timing chain guides. Dealer cost compared to private shop ? plus any comments/suggestions. build date of 2015 328IX is
9-14.

You want to change the guides, timing chain and oil pump chain, minimum $2k. The warranty has been extended to 7 years/70k miles. You should have received a letter to that effect from BMW.
