Noticed a weird whirring sound lately coming from my engine. It's rpm based and happens in neutral.

Is it a normal sound or not? What u guys think

looks like the "supercharger sound" some of us (including me) are experiencing.
I think nearly no one found the root cause. ZF8, or something else... don't know.
Most of people are calling the ZF8.
So far, I never read somewhere it's an issue...

Mine "seems" to sound like this when hot (pushing hard the car).

Have you done a transmission fluid change recently? Was reading about them and this noise can happen if the fluid was not filled enough.

It's not the transmission. It does it in neutral
