Anyone have spacers on their GT?
Just purchased 12mm spacers for the front and 15mm for the rear. I'm curious how it will look. Anyone have any pics of their GT with spacers?

One of the first things I put on my GT was mud guards, to protect the paint from road sand and salt that the tires throw up. I took delivery in January, at the height of road crud season, so I had the mud guards in hand before I even got the car, along with Weathertech floor liners. The last thing I'd want to do is put on spacers that would expose the fenders to more road crud damage than normal. If you use the spacers you should get paint protection film on all the fenders behind the wheel wells.

Everything I've seen from the F30 crowd shows that 12mm front and 15mm rear is pretty dang flush (maybe a tiny poke if you have tires with a wide tread). I'm probably going to go with that setup in the near future and will post pics if I do. But my research has led me to believe those are the sizes I would go with. Dont forget to get extended bolts too.

For anyone that has done this have you noticed any change in tire wear? Did you get a new alignment? Any difference to handling or just looks?

My mechanic told me that he wasn't able to install the spacers because they didn't fit. He advised me not to install them anyways for a few different reasons.
If I were to install them in the future I'd definitely get an alignment. Not too sure if tire wear would change. 12-15mm spacers probably wouldn't change the driving feel. I had originally bought because I think my wheel fitment would look a lot better. I ended up returning my spacers after I found out they didn't fit. |

Apologies for activating a fairly old thread that had seen the last response 4 months ago, but wanted to share my experience from installing 12/15 F/R hubcentric spacers on my GT with staggered 19" 598M wheels. The 12 mm spacers at the front cause slight rubbing of the wheel well liner behind the bumper cover while making heavy turning. The 15mm spacer at the back cause a slight touch to the liner when the rear wheels sink into the wheel well under loading or "floating" pavement. My plan to go to 10/12 set-up instead to eliminate rubbing. Also, the wheels poke 1/8 "(3 mm) to far out for my liking and are not flush. The treads are still blocked by mudflaps, so no concern as to the panel damages from throwing road sand/stones.
Have pics of 12/15 set-up if someone would like to see those. I'm pretty sure that 12/15 set-up works just fine on regular "square" wheel set-up, but not staggered in my case. The specs for the 19" 598M wheels: Fronts: 8JX19 ET:30 Rears: 9JX19 ET:42
