purpling plastics on front and rear bumpers

I have purpling on my 2016 340i on 2 parts front and rear bumper. I believe it's the 'sport' bumper - the one with the whiskers. I'm curious if anyone has removed these trim pieces - and if so - how. I'm not sure I want to pull the bumpers myself it that's what is required. The pieces themselves aren't very expensive at all.

Front bumper left and right side:

Rear bumper piece that is purpling:

On the front - I was able to get the bottom half of the piece off but not wanting to destroy the part or the bumper itself I didn't pull the top part off. I'm hoping there's a trick to it and someone can chime in. I'm pretty sure the purpling parts weren't purple to begin with - after some googling it appears to be a common problem with some of the plastics BMW uses.

Here is an ebay listing of the part and where it fits (for the front bumper)

It is common, the assumption is that it's caused by UV exposure. The easiest fix is to paint them black. You've got to pull the front bumper if you want to remove them to paint them.

bummer - that's what I figured.

Would it be possible to do a wrap on that piece or would that be too difficult? I'm not keen on vehicle wrap.

You may be able to wrap the front pieces, but it wouldn't be easy with all the contours. The one in the back would be easy enough.
