GTS OLED - Question Concerning Install
Just got my VLAND tail lights for the 4 series and my installation went relatively smooth until one point.
I took apart the inner tail light and found these two wires that don't seem to fit any connector that came on the VLAND model. I have LCI tail lights on my 2018 440i and I'm guessing these aren't LCI connectors? Question is what can I do next in an attempt to mitigate this? View post on imgur.com Update: I found another connector at the other end of the cable tucked deep into the trunk. Looks like it's screwed in place and hard as hell to get to. Is this the LCI connector? View post on imgur.com View post on imgur.com Last edited by redslumber; 09-22-2021 at 10:03 PM.. |

Red - I had the same with my '18 F33 (LCI). As you noted, remove the 'jumper' cable and plug the GTS cable into the end of the cable. The factory cable is (at least mine was), not screwed into the trunk lid. It snaps out - which made it much easier to attach the GTS cable. I found it difficult to snap this cable back into the notch on the trunk lid once the GTS cable was attached and verified to work correctly.
Hope my cryptic response helps. |

Thanks Dave! Taking a second look, that plug sandwiched between the trunk lid IS in fact the LCI cable mount.
Managed to get everything working, but it was DIFFICULT getting to it using just the small holes on the plastic gran coupe liner. |

Cool - glad it worked out. Enjoy! Really a nice upgrade, although I never see them other than unlocking the car.
My situation is getting the rear fogs to work as shown in the VLAND pictures. |
