Knocking noise coming from rear of car
I have a 2017 340i M sport with 1200 miles.
Today, I noticed a constant knocking sound coming from the rear of the car and my passenger also noticed it sitting inside the car. (Sounds a bad pulley almost) I took a short video of the noise, I'll upload here if I can figure out how Any ideas on what this may be ? |

Try taking the car to your dealership where they'll diagnose and repair it under warranty...

Well, that' a weird place for that sound to come from for a car that isn't moving. Perhaps the sound is traveling down the tunnel...?
Anyway, yes, get it checked out.

I have this issue on my 330i. I think it is coming from the exhaust hitting something somewhere but not too sure. I can make it louder by stepping on the brake and lightly pushing the gas to load the drivetrain.
Seems to be much louder when the fuel tank is close to empty (maybe just a coincidence). |

There is an SIB out for this.
Some threads below talk about this. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...61557-9999.pdf https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=27843899 https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1424308 |
