I have MPPSK. Butt dyno confirmed. Hoping it's not placebo, but I definitely notice a difference. The only way to know for sure is to get it dyno'd but I have no idea where to go for that.

I also think I need to play with the burbles a bit. Comfort is fine (thank god). However, sport and sport+ seem a little less aggressive than they were in the MPPSK flash tune - - both in length and loudness.

Yes you weld a pipe ( in black) from main line to behind the valve
Thanks for explaining, with all due respect, what's the point of that?

One pipe is still going to be louder/more free flowing than the other one (like it already is) due to only having a single exhaust valve, if that makes sense.
I don't know how this turned into an exhaust thread but I'm going to participate lol.

Just delete your resonator, bro.

I'm sure it will be just as quiet with mufflers still there, and if you're worried about drone you can be safe and maybe get a 1794 vibrant resonator to put in before the Y, people have reported also getting a deeper tone with it as well.

For my X3 the source of the rasp was all resonator, once I got that deleted the tone of the exhaust is so much clearer, it sounds amazing.

Hey brother! Thanks for the recommendation. Looks like its got rave reviews. Checking it out.

I wanted to get an opinion from someone that still has their factory mufflers with valve control, a DP, and that has also cut out their factory resonator in an MPPSK (X3 M40i).

MPPSK car here, and I flashed to Stage 1 93 and there is a very noticeable difference. Even with Stage 1 93, the car is still slightly over 400rwhp based on the the dyno PTF posted, so that's a significant jump from MPPSK. Each car will be different based on the conditions obviously, but overall the car is faster and smoother.

Nothing more than what is being discussed on FB, no one is definitely blaming the tune ... could be just coincidence that the tune was on for only four day's.
Motor went during a pull he said.

No problem, bro!

You'll be the first with that combo but I'm confident it should work out to your liking. Report back if you go that route!

Sure will.

I'm thinking I could just try the 1794 vibrant resonator, (and or) just a Y pipe. Maybe put the Y pipe on first and rev it up and hear it before choosing to go the resonator route. Looks like our stock "resonator" is really just a muffler according to the Real OEM description.

Yeah I was amazed at just how much sound the resonator was muffling and you will be too

Your exhaust will be much louder if you free up one side
I though that's what you were looking for.

I'm curious how it will sound with just a Y pipe. I so want to do it and see if my wife notices!

Thank you for the illustration. I guess I just rather the sound be more balanced out. I'm guessing the only way to really do that is to put dual flaps on the ends?

So I'm far from and expert but those look like jb4 logs. Could have just been on for logging but he also could have been stacking or using meth. Would be great to get more info but something tells me this wasn't a simple "stage 2" car.

Car has DP, Intake, BM3 stage 2, JB4 on map 0 according to the FB post. Was doing a pull from 50 mph @ about 5500 rpm when it blew.

If he didn't have meth failsafes set up right then that could have been a major problem.

Yes ideally you could to that if you get your hands on another valve and wire you can have the bypass on both sides

There are plenty of 335 235 340 240 oem mufflers going around for 100$ grab one and you can build yourself a dual bypass system
