Good call thanks. That actually was set to oem, but I had cold start shut off which I suppose would be similar. I put all the settings back to oem and reflashed stage 1. I'll drive around for a day or two and recheck.

The catalyst and fuel monitors showed 'no' in ista. It'd be cool if bm3 could add this service function into the diagnostics page. If they don't flip to 'completed' soon I will flash back to stock map and try again.

I'm in the same boat so please keep me update. If it works for you I'll flip my cold start back on.

Guys, sorry I don't have a lot of time to research this but I just got codes 1D3101 and 1D3201 along with a drivetrain malfunction warning which are clutch codes. I let my buddy drive my car last night and he slipped it a couple times, but not super bad--I didn't notice any burning smell.. But anyway I have 49920 miles on the car right now I want to set it back to stock before I take it to a dealer today but I don't want the codes cleared. Does flashing to stock clear the codes?

Also--what's the best procedure to flash back, I assume it's to remove BM3 completely right? Should I re-lock the DME afterwards? Thanks in advance.

Yes. If the license is the same price, it's a straight swap. If their license is more expensive, they have to pay the difference.

Aside from the exhaust that the MPPSK comes with:

Is MPPSK + bootmod3 any different than bootmod3 alone?

no. you'll backup your MPPSK file as your stock tune, others will back up their regular stock tune. But BM3 has the MPPSK tune for free in their map pack anyway.

Thanks! It’s hard to tell what’s in their map pack. Is stage 1 the same as MPPSK, or is there another option?

In my stage 2, I continue with version 1.6. Is it advisable to move to 2.0? Is there anything new on the way? What will I gain and lose with version 2.0?

2.0 is faster but also smoother so many people's butt dynos felt slower when they first upgraded and some went back just for the feeling.

2.0 gives you a lot more linear throttle response at the bottom end, and better mileage because of this. 1.6 felt more "on/off" which gave the illusion of more power, but impacted part throttle driveability.

Stage 1 is more powerful than MPPSK.

You get to pick one OTS tune with the license purchase. A few months ago they added the MPPSK tune for free for anyone that wants to try it, so now you get your choice of OTS tune and the MPPSK tune.

If you want an additional OTS map, it's $50 and then you get all the stage 1/stage 2 tunes that they offer.

I meant to post this the other day, but as of Friday all of the OBD monitors show ready. I drove around once, and to/from work twice. Less than 100 miles. The evap one took the most time and probably just a few restarts to show ready. The ac and o2 sensor came back the day before. I just drove normally.

I have all the configs set to OEM (even the burble) but still have the stage 1 map on.

bootmod3 0.10.084 release is now out! Updates include the following:

- New vehicle support

- (Map Config) Bosch 4bar TMAP sensor support on all MEVD DME cars (N20, N55, S55, S63tu, N63tu).

- (Map Config) Dorch Engineering HPFP support for 1st gen B58 (B58-F and B58-G, non-T0)

- X3M "Stage 1" OTS maps available in open beta under "OTS Maps". S58 with the 4400lb X3M is showing incredible gains so far including 10.8sec 1/4mile with no mods and just E30 octane, 11.0 on just 93 octane!

- Various dashboard and logging enhancements and fixes
Boost Target math channel added for logging target above ~22psi (2.5bar absolute). This has been available by adding Boost target and deviation channels since the beginning but now its just easier. RAM variable logging tested and coming very soon with additional channels

- Agent startup time further reduced

- "Special Agent" no longer a thing for those with bench unlock DMEs. As of this release you'd simply use the standard release and not touch the unlock/relock.

Web and OBD Agent are out, apps to follow as usual.

Can we use the Dorch setting if we're running the Spool HPFP? I know the Spool flows a bit more than the Dorch Stage 1, but not much.

I’m really tired of clicking on 30 parameters every time I look at the logs. So I wrote a simple bookmark script. Just create a bookmark in the bookmarks bar with the link address:
javascript: click_event=new CustomEvent("click");for(var items=document.getElementsByClassName("highcharts-legend-item"),i=0;i<items.length;i++)items[i].dispatchEvent(click_event);

And then just click on it. Boom! All charts hided.

If you're in the facebook group, make the suggestion on their latest update post. they added a lot of tuning parameters but then definitely need to work on the logging stuff too. I only use datazap now because it's so much easier to manipulate.

Question, I heard the ZF8Hp for 340i is rated to about 500Nm Max, does tuning the car to stage 1 91 octane will destroy the transmission? because peak torque will be 567 Nm
