They emailed me from bmw connect and finally my registration issue is fixed and bmw remote is working...

Are we going to have a new app combining the connected drive and the remote? some of you were talking about a new app coming for canadians in mid october.

When I tried the first time, i had the loop... then I check my connecteddrive account profile and filled in all the empty fields. After that, I was able to add my car. Next when I opened the mobile app and logged in, the car was ALREADY present. I did NOT have to add it via the mobile app.

Finally, I go the Website Loop issue solved, Thanks to all and Big thanks to Canadian33, who solved the issue by manually tweaking my account.

As I want to use Remote Service, Do I have to subscribe for Remote Services or It is included in BMW CONNECTED DRIVE PROFESSIONAL SUBSCRIPTION.

Does anybody have info regarding this?

App failed

Hello, I had BMW app working on my cellphone (in Canada) but recently it stopped communicating with my car. My cell connects to server no problem but server doesn't connect to car. Map shows up properly though.

Just checked on app update, nothing yet, so then tried logging into the portal and got internal error. Not looking good.

Hope Canadian33 will see these posts and keep us posted on when to expect Connected App in Canada.

They are also supposed to send some Over The Air software updates so some/lots of can enable the option (checkbox) for Remote 3D view under Data Privacy settings of iDrive (My Vehicle)

Keep checking and post here if you find any updates on this.

I have a 2018 X3 in Toronto and I have the same issue with Remote Services not working. I have tried talking to Connected Drive and my dealer 20+ times and nothing works. They are suggesting a hardware replacement in the car. Which doesn't seem right.

I have tried sending connected drive updates in the car, logging in and out in the car, resetting the car system by holding down the volume button for 20 seconds. Adding and removing my profile on connected drive website.

The Remote app connects to the car as it shows range and car location, remote services like precondition car or flash lights fails to send, also map locations from the app do not send.

Any help would be great.

What update you got? Is it idrive software update?

Bunch of us in Canada are hoping and waiting eagerly for idrive software update related to remote 3d view.

Did anyone in Canada received this update recently? If yes, please let us know.

I just downloaded BMW Connected app from App store (Apple/iPhone ) and added my 2018 X3 with Ultimate package successfully. But still waiting for software update for idrive required for Remote 3d view.

Any update on this idrive software will be highly appreciated.

The new app is out in the Canadian App Store, no Remote 3d view yet as far as I can see. It would have been nice if they emailed clients in Canada to say the updated app has been released. It's called BMW Connected.

Had the same issue. Re-register through the bmw connect Canada site on your desktop. Does not work on your mobile. I'm up and running.

It is too bad that Remote 3d view is still not available. They are supposed to send OAT software update for idrive so that we can enable this 3d feature in Data privacy settings under My Vehicle = idrive settings.

Did anyone in Canada receive this software update in 2 or 3 days? Please let us know.

Please try to update BMW ConnectedDrive Services.

In the iDrive menu go to ConnectedDrive. Then on the iDrive controller hit the option button and select "Update BMW Assist".

This will ping the ConnectedDrive back end and pull in updated services if available. This also will pull in any widget updates like the weather and news feeds if available.

I have the opposite problem, my X3 have the remote 3D enabled in iDrive, but no option for remote 3D view in the new app.
Is there any harm in removing the vehicle from my account and re adding it?

Message me the VIN, I can look and see if the Remote 3D option is associated to your VIN.

In the Connected App in the vehicle tab, there is an info section. Under enabled features do you see Remote 3D?
