just spoke with my CA and he's telling me they're happy to do the update but "they won't be set up for it until October/November". sounds like an excuse to me but wanted to see - anybody else hear a similar story?

That's BS. Work your way up the dealership ladder, you'll have it done next week.

We called the dealership today to schedule an appt. for this service, and they indicated they've received several requests of coding ASS to default to last setting, however, currently, their facility is not capable of performing this kind of task...

Please let us know if dealership ladder's working from your side...Thanks,

I will refuse to take delivery of my car if this update isn't programmed prior to delivery. I could care less about 3%-5% in fuel economy savings and have no interest in ever using ASS. If I wanted a Prius, I'd buy one.

Just my $.02...

Yes - our dealer took a week to do a successful software update, but they were then able to do this for our car last week. Maybe your dealer just needs a software update?

Edit - to clarify, they updated their software - don't want you to think they had our car for a week - only had it for three hours.

You may have to take delivery and then take the car back for a few hours to get it done - not everyone has been able to get it done at delivery time. Just saying I would not refuse delivery over it - it will get done.

IC & thank you for the prompt response. Good to hear your success of recoding from your dealership and hope you like the new setting.
I'll ping my dealer next week. Thanks,

Brought my vehicle in today for the car to be reprogrammed. Unfortunately the car would not update and they had to reset the entire software. It has been there all day and still not complete.

My dealer is great. Well aware of the SB and is doing it before delivery next week.

Very impressed!

Drop off my vehicle yesterday and still not ready. It will take another day to get it updated since i'm the first one requested. Oh yeah they loaned me 335D 2011 and i'm definitely missing my car. This car looks really outdated compare to my F30. The only think i like about this car is the sports seat since i have the luxury line. I wonder if I can retrofit/change my seat with OEM sport seat.

Cheers!

My dealer said they would do it. However, they said they would charge me over $100 per hour for labor.

Does that sound right? I called BMWNA and they said it's up to the dealer with respect to charging for that update.

I have an appointment for Tuesday to have this done. My dealer also originally told me they would want to charge me for labor. They have since said they will file a warranty claim with BMWNA, so the cost to me will be nada.

I've spoken to 3 dealerships (including the one I got mine from) and they act so confused when I ask about this "A.S.S. SIB 12 15 12" last user setting reprogram. Am I really the first person in Los Angeles to want to have this done??
