Just had a partially seized front caliper on my 123D after being parked outside for 3 weeks in the wet whilst I was away.
Ended up removing, cleaning and re lubing all 4 calipers in the end.
I am quite gentle on them so the sliding caliper to pad contact points started to seize.
MPG has improved a bit since freeing them off.
Starting to study AUC for an F31 to replace my 1er.

They only squeal when pulling up to a standstill at literary walking pace but don't squeal all of the time and it's difficult to predict when they will squeal, but you can guarantee if I drive about for about half an hour they will squeal at some point.
There has been a couple of threads on squealing brakes, especially M Sport brakes.
+1

M Sport braking system on mine occasionally squeak when coming to a standstill and I now have 5k+ miles on.
Does it have anything to do with harder pads on the M Sport braking system?

I'm going to try applying the handbrake while slowly moving tomorrow. Sounds like a simple way of solving an annoying problem.

Thanks for everyone's input. It's much appreciated.

Tried the handbrake thing. Hasn't worked. Least I can now give BMW some direction on what the noise is and where it's coming from.
