Is anyone running Pure Stage 1/2?

I'm considering doing a turbo upgrade and wanted to see what kind of track times/dyno numbers people are putting down with Pure Turbos. I looked at Pure's dyno sheets on their store page but if i'm not mistaken those numbers were before flash tunes came out.

Does anyone know if Stg 2 can support 600whp if fueling is not a limiting factor?

From my looking around it doesn't seem like anyone is pushing much farther than 550whp at most even with both E85 and meth. People that want more power go with Big Turbo.

I am planning to upgrade the turbo sometime next year. Just doing some preparation mods for now to get me by until then. By then there should be better fueling options like Twisted's direct injection system and hopefully better turbos than what we got. We should also see some feedback from the CPI installers. I don't mind hybrids but I don't want to give up my core.

Yeah, thats kind of disappointing considering people are hitting 500whp+ on the stock turbo with the right mods and fuel blends/meth. So to only get 50whp more is really not worth the cost. The only upside is that you dont have to run the turbo to the ragged edge and I'm sure the powerband is better (more mid range and top end power).

I'm looking for a hybrid turbo that can do 600whp+. I wouldnt think it would be too hard. Look at the Evo crowd.

Jordan from RK Tunes was able to get Adam LZ's Supra to 670 wheel on a PS2. Different OEM fuel pump though.

Interesting so it seems that if the fueling is there then the turbo is good for breaking 600+whp. I may need to stick with the PS2 then.

I have the Pure Stage 1. Good upgrade over stock. Felt power gain even at 6,000 rpm so its pretty much pulls all the way to red-line. No dyno results because I'm still debating on switching over to a Pure Stage 2. You can easily make 550whp with meth or the new fuel-it CPI kit once you upgrade the turbo.

I'm going to use the CPI kit for the stock turbo, but if I upgrade to the Pure Stg 2 then I'll probably switch to Twisted Tuning's Direct Meth Port Injection kit. I just received an email from Justin at Twisted Tuning and he said their kit will literally support anything you can throw at it and that the kit will be released soon. I know with the CPI kit, you can daisy chain additional injectors so if that can support a PS2 at over 600+whp like Adam LZ's Supra then I will stick with the CPI kit.

If you can run the new port injection then you will make the most power out of the turbo. Any idea on the pricing or it hasn't been announced yet to the public?

No info yet but it shouldn't be too much more than the N54 kit right? That one is like 600 for the plate/injectors and 1300 for the full meth kit. I think this is very reasonable. Their tunes are priced reasonably as well.

This is making me want to get a PS2 so bad. But I somehow doubt we can get the most out of the turbo with just the CPI. Maybe with a second injector? I just don't want to mess with meth right now. The direct port injectors can't be used for E85 can they?

I'm getting a Pure Stage 2. Going to do a base tune for just 98ron then see how far I can go with E85 when XDI releases their HPFP, which I've been told should be very soon.

Any info on pricing? I'm assuming it's going to cost an arm and leg.

Port injection will probably cost less, but not everyone likes the theory behind it so upgrading the hpfp some times is more simple and less of a headache.

I don't but assume it would be similar to the pricing for the N55 pump.

Does anyone know who manufactures the B58 turbo? I know for the N54 and N55 the turbos were provided by Borg-Warner. I remember one time reading that the stock turbo for the B58 is made by Mitsubishi, but I was never able to find that link again.

Just saw a post on facebook from an XDI developer. Says you can run full E85 and max out the stock turbo completely at full boost with the pump. This changes the game. It is going to be a bit pricey though.

I asked them some more questions. Hopefully they will respond.

My bigger concern is if it can run full E85 on Pure Stg 2 and provide the same numbers Supras are seeing.

They got back to me. They tested full E85 on stock turbos up to 20psi with no cutoffs. They haven't tested bigger turbos but that is the next step. Release soon.

Going by their N55 pump I am guessing they will have both BM3 and MHD OTS support.

Going by their N55 pump I am guessing they will have both BM3 and MHD OTS support. I believe their smaller N55 pump can't handle full E85 and was still doing 550 whp on pump gas or E30 with PS2s.

So basically the XDI-35 isnt going to cut it and a user will need to with the XDI-60 if they are looking at hybrid or full on turbo kits.
