M Performance Calipers - Repainting

Has anyone re-painted their factory blue M Performance brake calipers? Looking to have this done or do it myself, was wondering if anyone has already accomplished this or knows of a possible estimate for this type of jobs. I'm looking to get them repainted in either high gloss black or a hyper silver color. I've painted calipers before, but they weren't already powder coated from the factory.

Any info you guys could pass on would be great. Thanks.

Paint them yourself right on the car with G2 Caliper Paint. $42 at TireRack. Two part epoxy type paint. Only paint if air temp is in prescribed range or gets gloppy. Brush marks disappear so it looks sprayed on. Great stuff!

Harbor Freight sells a big pack of the same brush that comes with G2. Small silver handled brushes. Pack of like 30 for a couple dollars. Well worth it.

Also Formula 409 and small nylon bristle brush, like a big toothbrush along with brake cleaner to get calipers really clean before painting

These are the standard grey 335 calipers. I used a high temp caliper primer and paint from a local auto parts store. Then I heat treated them on the grill (didn't want to smell up the house). This finish has held up very well to heat, chemicals, brake dust, and time. Brembo decal courtesy of ebay.

I'd recommend disassembling each caliper and rattle canning vs. brushing in place. You'll get a much neater finish w/o any brush strokes and paint all over the bleed nipple and pads. Its also impossible to really clean calipers fully in place. A lot easier to degrease on a bench and prep for paint. Maybe i'm just a perfectionist but this worked well for me.
